Below her, the composition breaks apart: the lower folds of her robes dissolve into vertical ink drips and raw scratch-marks that bleed toward the hem, the figure unravelling into the fabric itself. Deep in the negative space, a small two-line lockup in widely-spaced tracked capitals sits quietly low — understated enough that most people won't read it until they're close. Caravaggio shadow fills everything else. The contrast is brutal in the best possible way.
