She kneels mid-shatter — hair loose, vessel broken, face tilted up somewhere between ruin and surrender. This is not a graphic tee you explain. It announces itself.

The artwork is drawn from an antique engraving, after an old master's line held in a museum collection — not a generated image, not a modern illustration. That heritage shows. The scene is rendered in deep, textured monochrome: a single bone-cream ink printed on black, with all the drama of Caravaggio chiaroscuro baked into every scored scratch and dissolving shadow. Mary Magdalene dominates the upper field of the shirt, placed high on a vast black ground that pulls her figure forward like candlelight out of darkness. Her unbound hair sweeps forward in a dark tide, tears and oil running down her wrists, the cracked alabaster jar caught at the instant of breaking. Below her, the image doesn't end cleanly — it unravels into long vertical drips and etched striations, the figure dissolving rather than stopping, which gives the whole print a quality you rarely find on a tee: it looks like it belongs in a frame.

The garment itself is black, heavyweight cotton — the kind that sits on the body with real weight and drapes properly rather than clinging. The unisex fit works across body types: relaxed through the chest and shoulder without swamping, long enough to tuck or leave out.

Perfect for:

• Pairing with black jeans and a long coat for an effortlessly dark, put-together look

• Wearing under an open flannel or overshirt when you want the art to peek through

• A statement piece for gallery openings, gigs, or anywhere you'd rather the shirt do the talking

• Gifting to the person whose wardrobe runs on black, history, and things with meaning

The details:

• Colour: Black garment, bone/cream monochrome artwork — no colour ink

• Fit: Unisex — size up if you prefer an oversized silhouette

• Feel: Soft, heavyweight cotton

• Care: Turn inside out, cold wash, hang or tumble dry low to protect the print

Add it to your cart — or gift it to someone who collects beautiful, unsettling things.
