The graphic is drawn after an antique engraving from a museum's public-domain collection — an old master's line, not a generated image. Bone-cream ink on dead black renders a massive hound in dense crosshatched monochrome: ribcage half-visible through matted fur, one paw pressed flat against a carved tomb lid, head raised to catch something just beyond the frame. The lower body dissolves into vertical scratch-marks and ink drips, the beast set high on a vast black field with a two-line lockup of widely-spaced capitals sitting far below in the darkness. It reads less like a print and more like something uncovered — a limestone rubbing, an archive plate, a document of something that happened.
